Week 628 – March 11th, 2023

In the end it has only been a matter of time when Miley Cyrus took over with her hymn “Flowers” (#1). In its 8th charting week, she swapped the spots with Carly Rae Jepsen. “Surrender my heart” (#2) had to leave the top spot after two weeks. Still in the Top 3 is “Nie wieder sehen” (#3) by JuJu.As last week this song is followed by “Unwanted” (#4) and “Alone” (#5) by Pale Waves.

Up two spots and knocking heavily at the door to the Top 5 is “Monsters” (#6) by Camylio. Next in line is KPOP by Kwon Eun Bi. Her song “Underwater” (#7) also climbed up two spots. Maybe these two songs are replacing Pale Waves’ songs in the Top 5 by next week. These songs are followed by a new song in the Top 10. Here Dylan Conrique is replacing herself. While “Get over you” (#7) dropped out of this part the follow-up single “Ugly” (#8) climbed up three spots to reach this part. It’s not the only new song in this part. The other one is “Sag nicht sorry” (#10, “Don’t say sorry”) by LEA. Caught between these songs is “Tattoos” (#9) by Reneé Rapp.

This week the award for the greatest gainer is going to two songs. The higher ranked one is “Engel” (#13, “Angel”) by German singer 1986zig. The lower ranked one is also from Germany. It is the collaboration between Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207. Their song “Komet” (#37, “Comet”) also climbed up 12 spots. This week also saw a raw number of new entries with the highest debut just inside the Top 80. It is the new single by Juli who recently had a #1 hit with “Fette wilde Jahre” (#36, “Big wild years”). This week the are debuting with the title track “Gehen oder bleiben” (#76, “Go or stay”) of the new album. Other debuts are “Heat of the moment” (#84) by Lisa Pac, “Checkbox” (#86) by Alexa Feser, “Ich liebe dich” (#91, “I love you” by Samra & Sido, “Sum 41 song” (#93) by Ameliy, “Ich glaub ich will heut nicht mehr gehen” (#94, “I don’t think I want to go anymore today”) by Nina Chuba & Provinz, “You problem” (#97) by Cloudy June & emlyn and “Tristesse” (#98, “Sadness”) by Maïa.
