Week 627 – March 4th, 2023

Carly Rae Jepsen defended the title with “Surrender my heart” (#1). It has been a tough decision, but in the end “Flowers” (#2) by Miley Cyrus only climbed up two spots. Next week Miley Cyrus should take over. This would be her 1st #1 since “Midnight sky” back in October 2020. For a 2nd time holding its spot at #3 is “Nie wieder sehen” (“Never see again”) by JuJu. Dropping out of the Top 3 are Pale Waves with “Unwanted” (#4). Directly behind is with “Alone” (#5) the 2nd highest ranked song by them.

Next in line is “Tattoos” (#6) by Reneé Rapp. She outperformed “Get over you” (#7) by Dylan Conrique after its two spot drop. At #8 you can find the highest ranked new song in the Top 10. It is “Monsters” by Camylio. For him it is the 1st Top 10 hit. Also for the first time in the Top 10 is Kwon Eun Bi with her hit “Underwater” (#9). This song climbed up eight spots. Rounding out this weeks Top 10 is “The night” (#10) by Morgan Wade.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week is going to Tove Lo with her single “2 die 4” (#57) after climbing up 25 spots. This week saw 11 new entries and the highest one is an album cut from “Red (Taylor’s version). “Better man” (#67) is just debuting inside the Top 70. Taylor Swift also debuts with “Nothing new” (#68) with Phoebe Bridgers. Other debuts are “Damn you” (#83) by Ella Langeley – this is technically a re-entry –, “Egal wie weit” (#86, “No matter how far”) by Senta – I charted her some years ago under her alter ego Oonagh –, “Selfish” (#89) and “Melody” (#90) by YooA, “Numb little bug” (#92) by Rain Paris, “XTINA” (#94) by GINI, “Du schläfst so leis’” (#95, “You sleep so quiet”) by Viktoria Mila, “Found it in you” (#96) by Tiera Kennedy and “Safe place to land” (#97) by Jerogia Rose.
