Week 677 – February 17th, 2024

 Jennie defended the throne with “You & me” (#1) and is holding “Euforia” (#2; “Euphoria”) by Annalisa in distance. I really love both ones and it is hard to decide between them. New at the podium is another song with Annalisa. The song “Disco Paradise” (#3) by Fedez, Annalisa & Articolo31 climbed up three spots to reach a spot in this part of the chart. Unfortunately, I think that this will be the songs only week in the Top 3. Dropping one spot are former #1’s “Versprich mir du gehst” (#4, “Promise me you’ll go”) by Madeline Juno x 1986zig and “Ragazza sola” (#5, “Lonely girl”) by Annalisa. Annalisa has now three songs in the Top 3 which is her 1st time in history.

Up one spot and knocking at the door to the Top 5 is “My love” (#6) by Leigh-Anne feat. Ayra Starr. For both this would be a premiere and I believe in it. Next in line is former #1 “AQYNE” (#7) by Aitana & Danna Paola. Maybe this is the last week in the Top 10 for them, but who knows. The next three songs can be found for the first time in the Top 10. The highest ranked one is “Lighthouse” (#8) by Kelly Clarkson. So far her new album has produced some hits for me while others failed to impress me, but “Lighthouse” (#8) is doing very well after climbing up five spots. Rising up seven spots is “ ‘til I don’t” (#9) by LANY. This is definitely one of the best songs on their album “gg bb xx”. And last but not least, Anouk is returning to this part with her song “Are you done running”. This song also climbed up seven spots.

I know I’m very late on the bandwagon for “Killer” (#41) by FKA twigs, but since I first listened to it this year this song is rising and rising and now after climbing up 17 spots this song is awarded with the greatest gainer of the week. This brings me as always to the highest debut. This week it is “Keep your demons” (#27) by TAELA. Her song “Not your problem” (#40) had a decent chart run and peaked at #31. “Keep your demons” outperformed this one and should earn a spot in the Top 20 very soon. Here I’m sure that “Keep your demons” will also enter the Top 10 and bring TAELA for the first time to the promised land. Also landing in the Top 40 is Esther Graf. Since her debut she is a well-known artist on my chart. Now she returns with Montez and their song “Überall” (#39, “Everywhere”). As you know me you shouldn’t be surprised to find this song in the Top 10 in a few weeks.
