Week 681 – March 16th, 2024

Last week FKA twigs took over with “Killer” (#1). This week she defended the title against “You & me” (#2) by Jennie which still be at the runner’s up position. New in the Top 3 is the cinematic song “Are you done running” (#3) by Anouk from her concept album “Deena & Jim”. Dropping one spot is “Euforia” (#4, “Euphoria”) by Annalisa. Back in the Top 5 after a very long time is Austrian singer Christina Stürmer. Her song “Ein halbes Leben” (#5, “A half life”) climbed up one spot.

One is way up is “Keep your demons” (#6). US singer TAELA is doing well with this breakup hymn which is her 1st Top 10 hit. One of my favourite bands over the last years LANY is going down with “ ‘til I don’t” (#8). Directly behind you can find two songs by Pale Waves. Their song “Act my age” (#9) climbed up one spot after reaching the Top 10 last week. Now they also reached the Top 10 with “So sick (of missing you)” (#10).

The award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to “Never be lonely” (#57) by Jax Jones & Zoe Wees. They did a big climb with 29 spots and could possibly enter the Top 40 by next week. This week’s highest debut is the latest single by Madeline Juno. Although the half of her latest album “Nur zu Besuch” (“Only to visit”) has been released as a single this one can’t be found on it because it is a song by KLAN who put it on their album. It is a decent song which should do well, but maybe not as good as some of her other songs from “Nur zu Besuch”. The 2nd best debut is also from Germany. Leony whose songs are a hit or miss for me is back on my chart. Her song “Simple life” (#58) failed to enter the Top 50, but should be seen in there in a couple of weeks.
