Week 734 – March 22nd, 2025

This week I hadn’t been in the mood for listing 24/7 to music as I struggled a little bit with my health. So, the Top 10 is more stable than it would have been otherwise. Leslie Clio defended the crown with “Just friends” (#1) and is leading the same Top 4 as last week. “Irgendwohin” (#2, “Somewhere”) by Antje Schomaker feat. Eva Briegel can still be found at the runner’s-up spot while “Reservetank” (#3, “Reserve tank”) by Madeline Juno is closing the Top 3. Directly behind is “In anderen Armen” (#4, “In other arms”) by Ness & Madeline Juno. New in the Top 5 is ok.danke.tschüss with their catchy song “Was passiert” (#5, “What happens”).

Up three spots is “Augenblick” (#6, “Moment”) by German rap crew 01099. Also up three spots is “Heut’ ist alles gut” (#7, “Today everything is okay”) by Sarah Connor. It seems that this could bring her at least in the Top 3. Dropping three spots is former #1 “That’s so true” (#8) by Gracie Abrams. Next in line is “Number one girl” (#9) by ROSÉ. I thought that this song wouldn’t be in this week’s Top 10, but here it is. Last but not least “Love letter” (#10) by Knox is holding a spot in this part of the chart.

As last week the greatest gainer goes to a country artist and this artist managed to get awarded with two songs too. Last week Ella Langley debut with “Love you tonight” (#56) and “Better be tough” (#57) which climbed up 22 spots to get the award. As I mentioned in the first sentence to this review I didn’t listen a lot to music so the highest debut just landed near the Top 70. It is from San Remo 2025. Last year Rose Villain also participated and had one of the biggest hits for me with “CLICK BOOM!”. Now she returns with “Fuorilegge” (#74, “Outlaw”). For the moment I like this song, but I’m not sure if it will a big hit for her song from last year. Other debut songs from San Remo 2025 are “La cura per me” (#82, “The cure for me”) by Giorgia – for her it is a chart comeback after nearly eight years –, “Battito” (#85, “Beat”) by Fedez – he seems to have every two years a hit on my chart –, “Tu con chi fai l’amore” (#86, “Who do you make love with”) by The Kolors – they also had I Top 10 hit with their 2024 San Remo entry –, “La tana del granchio” (#99, “The crab’s lair”) by Bresh and “Incoscienti giovani” (#100, “Unconscious young people”) by Achille Lauro. Also debuting ESC qualification contestants Mentissa from Belgium with “Désolée” (#80, “Sorry”), from Armenia Anahit with “Tiny little boo” (#84) and from Poland Dominik Dudek with “Hold the light” (#89).

Other debuts are “Märchenwald” (#77, “Fairytale forest”) by Cro x Jolle which is based on “Alle Märchen sind gelogen” (#67, “All fairy tales are lies”) by Jolle, “Phantom feelings” (#91) and “Outrun me” (#92) by Morgan Wade, “Kontrolle verloren” (#95, “Lost control”) and “Vergiss mein nicht” (#96, “Don’t forget me”) by Cosima Kigby.
