Week 738 – April 19th, 2025

After last week’s surprising new #1 things slowed down a bit. “Unsicher” (#1) by Nina Chuba defended the crown and so former #1 “Heut’ ist alles gut” (#2, “Today everything is okay”) by Sarah Connor finished at the runner’s up spot again. ok.danke.tschüss is also holding their spot in the Top 3 with their hit “Was passiert” (#3, “What happens”). The only change in the Top 5 happened right behind. “Crazy” (#4) by COSBY swapped the spot with “Augenblick” (#5, “Moment”) by 01099.

Last week “Just friends” (#6) by Leslie Clio dropped out of the Top 5. This week the song was holding its spot as well as the next song. “No strings” (#7) by Absnt Midn is the other non-moving song in this part of the chart. It is followed by the 2nd highest debut in last week’s chart. “Starcrossed” (#8) by Kings Elliot climbed up three spots and is her first Top 10 hit with her first char appearance. Her 50’s inspired heartbreak song is followed by former #1 “Irgendwohin” (#9, “Somewhere”) by Antje Schomaker feat Eva Briegel which dropped one spot. Their song is caught between the only two new songs in the Top 10. I’ve mentioned “Starcrossed” before. Now I’m talking about “Hab ich dir je gesagt…” (#10, “Have I ever told you…”) by Madeline Juno. This song climbed up eight spots which eventually leads to the fact that all three top debuts from last week are now in the Top 10.

“Santa Maria” (#63) by Luca Vasta climbed up 18 spots and is this week’s greatest gainer. Although four weeks on the chart it took this song a little to climb up the chart. So let’s see which song is this week’s highest debut. It is a song by a 19-year-old singer from the US who is constantly releasing singles since 2021. Earlier this year he made his international chart debut with “Back to friends”. Now Sombr has another single in the chart. His song “Undressed” got its debut at #18. I really love this catchy refrain, and his singing voice is good. He is among very few male artists who can be found on my chart. For the moment I think that “Undressed” could be a one hit wonder as I gave his other songs also a chance, but these songs failed to get my attention. One more song got its debut in the Top 50. It is “Twilight zone” (#43) by Ariana Grande. Although she can be found on my chart on a regular basis, she is among the big stars for me. In recent days her songs are more miss than a hit. “Twilight zone” could be the exception because I believe that this song could end in the Top 20. Another good start had Miley Cyrus with the single “End of the world” (#54) form her upcoming new album “Something beautiful”. Sure it is no “Flowers”, but in the long run it could do very well for me.

Other debuts are “Still bad” (#76) by Lizzo, “Hello stranger” (#85) by Kwon Eun Bi, “Madrid” (#86) by Tagtraeumer, “Nevermind” (#87) and “I’m so good at being alone” (#88) by Knox, “The giver” (#89) by Chappell Roan, “With love, your Clementine” (#90) by OSKA, “HOT” (#93) by LE SSERAFIM, “Bisschen zu viel” (#95, “A bit too much”) by Cosima Kiby, “Weit weg” (#96) by Fabian Wegerer x Luna Antonia, “Masochist” (#97) by liska and “Cuntissmo” (#100) by Marina.
