Week 739 – April 26th, 2025

 The top of the chart is stable. So Nina Chuba’s smash “Unsicher” (#1, “Insecure”) is holding the top spot for a third time in a row. Still in the hunt is former #1 “Heut’ ist alles gut” (#2, “Today everything is okay”). For the first time in their career in the Top 3 are German band COSBY with their single “Crazy” (#3) which is a sleeper hit for me as it originally has been released as a single on March 1st in 2024. This song swapped the spot with “Was passiert” (#4, “What happens”) by ok.danke.tschüss. Reaching the first time the Top 5 is Swiss singer Kings Elliot. Her song “Starcrossed” (#5) climbed up three spots to earn her this honour.

Four spots up is Madeline Juno with her recent hit song – at least for me – “Hab ich dir je gesagt…” (#6, “Have I ever told you…”). One spot down is former #1 “Just friends” (#7) by Leslie Clio. On its way down is “Augenblick” (#8, “Moment”) by 01099 after dropping three spots in this week’s edition. Directly behind you can find the only new song in the Top 10. It is “Not at this party” (#9) by Dasha. For her this song is the Top 10 premiere. Rounding out this week’s Top 10 is former #1 “Irgendwohin” (#10, “Somewhere”) by Antje Schomaker feat. Eva Briegel.

Ariana Grande is now on her way up the chart with “Twilight zone”. This song climbed up 19 spots and is awarded with the greatest gainer. After two weeks in a row the top debut can’t be found ahead of the greatest gainer. This week highest debut just landed within the Top 50. It is a duet between australian singer Dean Lewis and between canadian-portuguese singer Sofia Camara. For Dean Lewis this debut is his 12th chart hit while Sofia Camara only had one minor hit in 2025 with “Who do I call now? (hellbent)”. Now both return with “With you” (#48) which I really like.

The 2nd best debut is by favourite artist Anouk. She just released three singles from her new album in a row. The first one “Where the mind goes” (#57) got its debut this week. Her other two ones will debut in the following weeks. I like where she is going with these songs, but I’m not sure if she will do as well as with her “Queen for a day” area back in 2016/2017. Directly behind the third best debut can be found. It is “Unlearn” (#58) by Felicia Lu. It is a good song, but it’s no upbeat song as “Someone else” (#18) which just entered the Top 20.

Other debuts are “Denk nicht an Dich“ (#80, “Don’t think about yourself”), “Sterne & so” (#85, “Stars & so”), “Nichts wirklich ganz” (#86, “Nothing really quite”) all by Antje Schomaker, “Kaputt” (#84, “Broken”) by LEA x LINDA, “Manchmal denk ich nur an dich” (#87, “Sometimes I only think of you”) by Dani Lia, “Love me tonight” (#89) by Jay Webb, “Hör nie damit auf” (#97, “Never stop”) by Beatrice Egli and “FICKA” (#98, “FUCKER”) by Sarah Connor.
