Week 645 – July 8th, 2023

Kelly Clarkson defended her crown with “Favorite kind of high” (#1). It had been a tough decision because Morgan Wade is doing very well with her latest release. Her song “Psychopath” (#2) climbed up two spots and is now in runner’s-up position. Dropping one spot is “Temporary” (#3) by Alexa Cappelli. Next in line are two former #1’s. The higher ranked one is “Without you” (#4). The other one is “Only problem” (#5). Both songs are by Pale Waves.

Mina Okabe is on her way into the Top 5 after climbing up two spots with “Talk to me” (#6). Also up two spots is “Dive” (#7) by Olivia Dean. These songs outperformed “Renn zurück” (#8, “Run back”) by Esther Graf & Fourty. Dropping two spots and on its way out of the Top 10 is “So good (at what you do)” (#9) by m els. This leads me to the only new song in this part of the chart. Finally, “How does it feel” (#10) by Tom Grennan entered. Sure, I don’t believe that this song will last for weeks in the Top 10, but it deserves it.

The award for the greatest gainer of the week goes to “Teardrops” (#31) by Leslie Clio. This song climbed up 16 spots. Her cover of the Warwick & Warwick hit could be her 1st Top 10 hit in years. For the highest debut you must go down the chart. It is “Vampire” (#73) by Olivia Rodrigo. It is a decent song, but still for now I’m not sure if it will be a big hit for me. The 2nd best debut is by German 1986zig. He returned with “Sunshine” (#74). Other debuts are “Have you ever loved someone” (#75) by BANNERS, “Charlie Brown” (#86) by Alice Merton, “All the whiskey in the world” (#89) and “Mean it this time” (#90) by Carly Pearce and “Timebomb” (#98) by Charley.
