Week 648 – July 29th, 2023

I’m sure all of you are waiting to see the new Tagtraeumer song at #1. Unfortunately, I’ve to disappoint you. Their song “Alles und mehr” (#3, “Everything and more”) only climbed up two spots to reach the podium. Still at the top is “Psychopath” (#1) by Morgan Wade. Maybe she is replacing herself with “Through your eyes” (#2) which climbed up one spot. Down two spots is former #1 “Favorite kind of high” (#4) by Kelly Clarkson. On its way out of the Top 5 is five times #1 “Temporary” (#5) by Alexa Cappelli.

Directly behind is the 3rd song by Morgan Wade in the Top 10. Her Elvis’ cover “Suspicious minds” (#6) is doing pretty well. Next in line is “Exes” (#7) by Esther Graf. Miley Cyrus is also going up the chart with “Jaded” (#8). Rounding out this week’s Top 10 are Pale Waves. Their former #1’s are dropping three spots. Still the higher ranked one is “Without you” (#9) over “Only problem” (#10).

Surprising is the award for the greatest gainer of the week for Munn. Until now he had only minor hits for me, but with “Belongs with you” (#63) in his pocket that maybe changes. This week “Belongs with you” climbed up 18 spots and so this song should be seen in the Top 50 by next week. This leads me to the highest debut which is by German singer Clueso. Back in 2018 he had a #1 hit with Die Fantastischen Vier. After some minor hits his now back with a potential Top 10 hit. His single “Du und L.A.” (#45, “You and L.A.) debuted inside the Top 50 and is growing more and more on me. Directly behind you can find the 2nd best debut by a singer I’ve not known before. Chloe Jane is debuting with her song “Summer fling”. I really like it and so could enter the Top 20.
