Week 660 – October 21st, 2023

Holly Humberstone defended the throne with her song “Superbloodmoon” (#1). I absolutely love this song with d4vd and her album too which I will soon buy. Next in line is Knox feat. Charlotte Sands with their song “We’re not in love anymore” (#2). Finally, I gave Knox’s EP “I’m so good at being alone?” a try and love it. So you can expect some more debuts by him in the near future as this EP is also a future buy. fiio just released his latest album “Wir werden nur was wir schon sind“ (“We only become what we already are”). His #1 song “Sofia” (#3) from this album dropped one spot, but he is also debuting with his latest single. Pink climbed up one spot with “Runaway” (#4) and Silbermond are returning with their song “Verletzen” (#5, “Hurting”).

RØRY failed to enter the Top 5 with “The apology I’ll never receive” (#6) but climbed up one spot. Dropping four spots and falling out of the Top 5 is former #1 “Du und L.A.” (#7, “You and L.A.”) by Clueso. Down two spots is another former #1. “Alles und mehr” (#8, “Everything and more”) by Tagtraeumer is on its way out of the Top 10. New in this part of the chart are “Long story short” (#9) by Taylor Swift from their album “Evermore” and “Care less” (#10) by LANY from their album “gg bb xx”.

Last week the award for the greatest gainer of the week was given to three songs. This week two songs have to share. The highest ranked one is “Man down” (#46) by Knox and the other one is “Penthouse” (#67) by Kelsea Ballerini. So let’s move on to this weeks highest debuts. For the first time British singer Bellah Mae can be found on my chart. She has just released the EP “With all due disrespect”. To promote this EP she released “Mr. Hypocrite” (#25) as a regular single and this song entered the Top 30 and should seen in the Top 20 in the next weeks. I really like this one and I hope this song is doing well. The 2nd best debut is by Italian singer Annalsia who dropped her new album “E poi saimo finite nel vortice” (“And then we know we end up in the vortex”). It’s a pretty good album and follow up to her 2020 album “Nuda” (“Naked”). Her latest single is Ragazza sola” (#47, “Lonely girl”) which is a potential Top 10 hit for me.
