Week 806 – August 15th, 2026

In its 5th week on chart “Look at my life” (#1) by Gracie Abrams reached the top for the first time. It’s her first #1 hit since “I knew it, I know you” which topped the chart back in February for two weeks. In total this is her 4th #1 hit. Ayane dropped one with her song “キミがいないと” (#2, “Without you”). This one is still leading the bunch of songs from Asia on my chart. Next in line and completing the podium is “Dafür war es echt” (#3, “At least it was real”) by Esther Graf. It’s the only non-moving song in my Top 10. Up one spot is “Moonlight” (#4) by Jung Soyeon. I can’t say how surprising this is. Two weeks ago, it hadn’t been in the Top 5 and now it seems that “Moonlight” will get a comeback in the Top 3. Down three spots is last week’s runner up “Vicky Lynn” (#5) by Anouk.

Up three spots is G Flip with “Bed on fire” (#6). On more step up the chart and it will become G Flip’s first hit in the Top 5. Also up three spots is “Einfach nichts” (#10, “Nothing at all”) by Mathea. These ones are followed by two new songs in my Top 10. First to mention is “Ice cream” (#8) by YUNA. Her solo debut is doing very well. In the shadow “LEMONADE” (#9) by aespa reached the Top 10 too. For them it’s their first Top 10 appearance with their 2nd charting song. For the third time Zior Park is rounding out the Top 10 with “Dance alone” (#10).

The greatest gainer of the week is “Jeeep” (#26) by Nina Chuba. “Jeeep” climbed up 16 spots. Let’s move on to this week’s highest debut. It is by Irish singer Rea Garvey. He debuted within the Top 20 with his latest single “Rivers” (#19). For this song he teamed up with Imran who is a German producer who started his singing career about two years ago. After joining forces with Rea Garvey he got his chart debut. It’s a cool chilling summer song which hopefully will do well her in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. “Rivers” is the first debut in the Top 20 since February as “Dance alone” managed a debut in the Top 20 and “Daydream” by Wendy which left the chart last week. Both songs eventually topped the chart while “Dance alone” is still in the Top 10.

Three more songs are debuting in this week’s Top 50. “Don’t leave me on the dancefloor” by Carly Rae Jepsen is in it at #28. It’s her first appearance since “Come over” back in 2023. Sadly, most of her recent stuff is more miss than hit for me. On the other hand “Don’t leave me on the dancefloor” could be her 1st Top 10 hit since “Surrender my heart” back in early 2023 which also topped the chart (her 3rd #1 hit) that year. There is something about this song that I couldn’t exclude a future #1. Debuting inside the Top 50 is Midnight Til Morning. Their song “Easy” (#43) is the bands 2nd hit on my chart. This year the had one hit with “Heart on fire” (peaked at #25 in January) and maybe “Easy” will outperform it. And last but not least Baby DONT Cry are back. Their single “Shapeshifter” (#48) just landed in the Top 50 and is replacing “I DONT CARE” (#94) which is on its way out of the chart after dropping 45 spots.

Other debuts are “Love all” (#54) by izna, “Babyface” (#61) by ODD Youth, “Drin” (#66, “Within”) by Emma Rose, “Mit dir alleine sein” (#69, “Being alone with you”), “Unendlichkeit (Bordsteingedanken)” (#70, “Infinity (curbside thoughts”), “Heimatplanet” (#71, “Home planet”) all by LEA, “What I want” (#85) by S2IT, “One minute” (#86) by WOLF HOWL HARMONY, “Baby blues” (#87) by Ashley Cooke, “Disstrack” (#95) by Dani Lia & Yola and “Stay” (#98) by BUNT. & Lauren Spencer Smith.
