100 #6
DJ Cassidy feat. Robin Thicke & Jessie J – Calling all hearts

Points: 673.7
Peak: #18
Weeks: 14
Album: -

I saw "Calling all hearts" on several personal charts before I charted this song. After some weeks it reached my Top 20 where it peaked at #18 after three weeks in this part of the chart. At the moment this is the only song by DJ Cassidy I've charted. His debut album is still in work and it will be interesting to discover his new music.

Ben Montague – False horizon

Points: 674.4
Peak: #20
Weeks: 14
Album: Tales of flying and falling

As I pointed out earlier he hadn't the perfect year, but all in all he had four songs in the Top 100. This is the first appearance by Ben Montague. It is a strong song, but in the end he only reached Top 20 with this song.

Emma - 1, 2, 3

Points: 675.2
Peak: #22
Weeks: 15
Album: Schiena

Mathematics can always be simple to count 1, 2 and 3. Every moment she thinks the man loves her she counts 1, 2 and 3. Every time he thinks about the other woman she counts 4, 5 and 6. Just as written before simple mathematics. With this simple message Emma had her first appearance within the Top 100. This is one of her weaker songs. So "1, 2, 3" missed the Top 20.

Cash Cash feat. John Rzeznik - Lightning

Points: 678.3
Peak: #19
Weeks: 15
Album: Lightning EP

In 2013 the US electronic dance pop band had their first big hit with "Take me home" which I never charted. For their follow-up they teamed up with Goo Goo Dolls lead singer John Rzeznik. This collaboration lead to a good dance song. In general "Lightning" didn't as well as "Take me home", but on my chart they did well and receive this early place in the countdown.
96 #39
Poxrucker Sisters - Glick

Points: 682
Peak: #26
Weeks: 17 (still charting)
Album: Poxrucker Sisters

These girls from Upper Austria rough up the Austrian music landscape. With their self-titled debut album the reached right away the Top 10 in April. With the singles they hadn't at first the same "Glick" ("Luck") until September. Then the biggest radio station Ö3 began to play their song and the rest is history. Although I really like their song which is for me similiar to "Radio" by The Corrs they failed to reach the Top 20, but in the end they got a respectable spot within the year-end review.

Ben Montague feat. Lucie Silvas - Liberty Road

Points: 682.8
Peak: #12
Weeks: 13
Album: Tales of flying and falling

"Liberty road" is the 2nd entry within the Top 100 for Ben Montague. He has been suported by Lucie Silvas who had her biggest hit up-to-date back in 2004 with "What you're made of" which is always a pleasure to listen. "Liberty road" has been released as double A-side single and reached shortley after the debut the Top 20. Sadly it didn't reach Top 10, but this is still a great tune.

Emma – Trattengo il fiato

Points: 683.2
Peak: #16
Weeks: 14
Album: Schiena

Ben Montague had two entries in this part of the review. And now Emma also has two entries. "Trattengo il fiato" ("I hold my breath") did a little bit better than "1, 2, 3". As always it is nice to listen to one of Emma's songs, but her best songs this year you'll find higher ranked.

Jillette Johnson - Butterfly catcher

Points: 684.0
Peak: #28
Weeks: 16 (still charting)
Album: Water in a whale

"Butterfly catcher" is another piano driven song by Jillette Johnson, but this time the piano isn't the center of the song. Once more the meldoy fits well with her voice and once again it is a love song where a woman would hold a man in the bed with a "Butterfly catcher".

Aurea - Do what's best for you

Points: 687.2
Peak: #13
Weeks: 14
Album: Soul notes

Here is the next none album single in this part of the countdown. This time it is by Portuguese singer Aurea. "Do what's best for you" is her only song within the Top 100 and is probably one of her best songs on her 2nd album "Soul notes".
91 #171
Matt Cardle - Hit my heart

Points: 702.5
Peak: #1
Weeks: 7 (still charting)
Album: Porcelain

Since 2012 Matt Cardle had every year a #1. His smash hits "Starlight" and "It's only love" aren't forgotten, but here you find his best song. At least in my oppinion. Against the tradition of slow climbing up to #1 "Hit my heart" reached #1 in its 7th week. There are some other songs of his albums which did better this year, but in a final ranking of the songs I charted since 2011 this special song will outperform them.
