As
last week I wasn't able to post my chart earlier. Sorry for those who
are waiting for this week's chart. So let's start. The song to beat at
the moment is still the biggest cover hit since re-starting my chart.
"Du trägst keine Liebe in dir" (#1, "You carry no love in you") is
topping the chart for the fourth week in a row. For Ninja Pow and Franzi Harmsen this one had been their first #1 on my chart. With this week German newcomer Franzi Harmsen
has three songs in the Top 10. The 2nd highest one is "Zweieinhalb
Sekunden" (#4, "Two and a half seconds") which reached the Top 5 for the
first time. The other one is "Nie mehr" (#9, "No more") which first
reached the Top 10 with this edition. This I've not seen coming, but I
really love her songs.
Beside her there are more songs in the Top 10. Holding its spot is "Schwarz" (#2, "Black") by LEA & Casper. LEA
– a well-known artist on my chart – has also two charting songs in the
Top 10. The other one is "Wenn du mich lässt" (#7, "If you let me")
which climbed up two spots. By next week she also could have three songs
in the Top 10 because "Sylt 98" (#11) is climbing up six spots and is
definitely knocking at the door to the Top 10. New in the Top 3 is Morgan Wade.
Her song "Wilder days" (#3) is the big contender for the top spot and
of course she also could have multiple Top 10 hits when her other single
"Take me away" (#24) is also reaching this part in the future which is
absolutely possible.
Down two spots and leaving the Top 3 is "Tu was du willst" (#5, "Do what you want") by Madeline Juno. Dropping out of the Top 5 is "Renegade" (#6) by Big Red Machine feat. Taylor Swift.
Although I like this song it hasn't been strong enough to do the last
step. This is happening mostly because of the fact that this is
definitely the year of strong German songs. Former #1 "Sandbox love"
(#8) by Alanis Morissette is now on its way out of this part of
the chart after dropping three spots. And last but not least in the Top
10 "Alles in mir will zu Dir" (#10, "Everything in me wants to you") by Sarah Connor can be found.
This
week the award for the greatest gainer is going to two songs which
climbed up 17 spots. The higher ranked one is "Take my breath" (#31) by The Weeknd.
This song did this mentionable climb in its 7th week on chart. In its
3rd charting week is the other awarded song. It is "Dopamine" (#39) by Purple Disco Machine feat. Eyelar. I haven't heard about Eyelar
before but she doing well on this song. As usual the greatest gainer is
followed by the information about the highest debut. I'm sure you have
heard about LEA. She has released another non-album single.
"Parfum" (#51, "Perfume") just missed the Top 50, but I'm sure that this
song will do as well as most of her current songs with this calendar
year. The 2nd best debut is by British girl band Little Mix.
Their song "Love (sweet love)" (#55) brought them another solid debut
with a good outlook. Hopefully this one will enter the Top 20, but there
is some more concurrence within reach. "Runaway" (#58) by R3HAB & Sigala & JP Cooper, "Way back home" (#59) by VIZE & Anna Grey as well as "Berlín" (#60, "Berlin") by Aitana
can also considered as stronger debuts over the last weeks and maybe
these songs are the door opener of higher debuts which are really missed
this year.
