Leolixl – Vielleicht verliebt

Points: 807.3
Peak: #3
Weeks: 10 (still charting)
Album: -
Airplay: #195

I really don't care about TikTok. On the other hand the next artist first rose to "fame" via TikTok. German singer Leolixl did a good job on her single "Vielleicht verliebt" ("Maybe in love"). In the refrain she refers to the 1990's classic – I absolutely can't stand this song – "Macarena" by Los Del Rio and its dance. I doubt that this dance will be done in a disco in these days, but in this particular song it worked for me.

Lennon Stella – Kissing other people

Points: 810.3
Peak: #6
Weeks: 17
Album: Three. Two. One.
Airplay: #79

Next in this list is Canadian singer and actress Lennon Stella. She had some hits since the end of the TV show "Nashville" – unfortunately I still wasn't able to see the final season – but with "Kissing other people" she did best for me. This song debuted late in 2019 and reached its peak in January. This is definitely a song you should listen to.

Aitana – Vas a quedarte

Points: 818.2
Peak: #21
Weeks: 17
Album: Spoiler
Airplay: #61

This song is the first Top 100 entry by Spanish singer Aitana. Her song "Vas a quedarte" ("You're going to stay") reached #1 in her home country. On my chart this song failed to impress me that much. So it only peaked just outside the Top 20. It is a good song by her, but she definitely has better songs.

Ina Regen – Macarena

Points: 823.9
Peak: #8
Weeks: 12 (still charting)
Album: -
Airplay: #173

This next song was first presented on the Austrian Music Award Show. It is a very stripped down and emotional song. Earlier in 2020 Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi had a hit about dealing with the emotional aftermath of suicide. In this particular song Austrian singer Ina Regen also deals with the suicide of a friend. And as Leolixl's "Vielleicht verliebt" ("Maybe in love") refrain the title of this song is a reference to the 1990's classic "Macarena" by Los Del Rio. I can't believe that I've mentioned this crap song such often.

Crispie & Ilira – Ladida (my heart goes boom)

Points: 827.8
Peak: #11
Weeks: 14 (still charting)
Album: -
Airplay: #133

In the early 2000's German-French act French Affair debuted with their single "My heart goes boom (la di da da)". It instantly became a big hit and I still like this particular song. In 2020 this song was remixed by German DJ Crispie and sung by Swiss Ilira. Although it wasn't a big hit as the original I really like this version too and so it reached a peak just outside the Top 10.

ZZ Ward – Break her heart

Points: 837.5
Peak: #17
Weeks: 17
Album: -
Airplay: #60

Since her debut in 2012 with "Put the gun down" US singer ZZ Ward has released several singles. All of these songs including her debut single failed to enter my chart. But wait there is one exception. Her song "Break her heart" managed to debut in March and reached its peak inside the Top 20 in May. I like this break-up hymn and the revenge thoughts about the next girlfriend. As the follow up singles failed to enter the chart I don't see a bright future on my chart.

Harry Styles – Adore you

Points: 848.0
Peak: #13
Weeks: 16
Album: Fine line
Airplay: #59

2020 had become the year with several hits by Harry Styles. Unfortunately "Watermelon sugar" failed to enter this part of the review, but he placed two songs within the Top 100. The first song which can be found within this part of the review is "Adore you". It is a decent song and peaked in the Top 20. I hope that he will deliver such songs in the future too.

LANY – You!

Points: 850.6
Peak: #12
Weeks: 16
Album: Mama's boy
Airplay: #87

I'm really a fan of this act since their 2nd album "Malibu nights". This is so far one of the best albums I've ever listened to, but I know that I'm no reference. For the follow up album "Mama's boy" they released video after video and I charted several songs at once. Among these singles "You!" did a good job, but in the end this song failed to reach the expectations. Sure a Top 20 peak is good, but not for their standards since the release of "Malibu nights".

Kygo & OneRepublic – Lose somebody

Points: 850.8
Peak: #9
Weeks: 16
Album: Golden Hour
Airplay: #86

Recently Norwegian DJ Kygo is more known for his remixes than for his newer work. In at #82 is a single from his 2020 album "Golden hour". I really enjoyed listening to this song and so "Lose somebody" peaked in the Top 10 in August, but his remixes did better and so stay tuned which spots his other charting hits will reach in this countdown.

Emma – Stupida allegria

Points: 854.7
Peak: #13
Weeks: 16
Album: Fortuna
Airplay: #70

With her album Emma returned very strong on my chart. Between the very strong songs "Stupida allegria" ("Stupid joy") is a little bit weaker, but it easily managed to reach the Top 20. This song is the 7th highest ranked song by her in this countdown and the first within the Top 100 for 2020.
