Week 358 – January 6^th, 2018

My Top 10 is growing older and older. The entire Top 5 has charted at least for 10 weeks. I can’t remember when this happened for the last time. Still at the top is Pink’s “Beautiful trauma” (#1) which is now spending its third week at the summit. “Beautiful trauma” is followed by Tagtraeumer’s “Pfeile” (#2) which had also been #1 for a total of three weeks. The podium is completed by Selena Gomez’s “Perfect” (#3) which is another non-mover. The next non-mover in my Top 5 is “Never give up on me” (#4) by MisterWives. The only new song in my Top 5 is by Austrian band Wanda. Their hit “Columbo” (#5) climbed up one spot.

While the Top 5 is rather calm in the bottom half of my Top 5 not a stone was left standing. “Fake happy” (#6) is knocking at the door to my Top 5 after a single spot climb. Paramore are followed by German Schlager star Helene Fischer. Her single “Achterbahn” (#7, “Rollercoaster”) climbed up two spots. A comeback in my Top 10 is German rock band Jennifer Rostock celebrating. Their comeback single “Haarspray” (#8, “Hairspray”) sprinted up seven spots to land here. Next in line is the only song in this part which dropped. It is the acoustic cover “There for you” (#9) by OT. Also new in my Top 10 is country pop by Chad Brownlee. His song “Out of the blue” (#10) climbed up six spots.

This week’s review is rather short, but longer than in the last weeks as there hasn’t been a review. This calm week only saw four new entries and two of it are album cuts from the album “Unendlich eins” (“Infinitely one”) by Tagtraeumer. They are in “Alles sind wir” (#74, “Everything are we”) and “Fast wieder da” (#75, “Almost back”). The highest single debut is by Lost Kings with “Don’t call” (#94). This song is followed by another track of the soundtrack to the TV series Nashville. It is on more song by Aubrey Peeples. Her song “Too far from you” is in at #95.
