Week 360 – January 20th, 2018

Due to work-related problems I didn’t listened to much music over the last weeks. So my chart is growing a little bit old in these days and another effect occurred this week. “Pfeile” (#1, “Arrows”) by Tagtraeumer returned back to the top of my chart. Something not very often is happening, but most of the time early in the year. Tagtraeumer let Pink with her song “Beautiful trauma” (#2) behind. The Top 3 is completed with another song in German. It is “Haarspray” (#3, “Hair spray”) by rock band Jennifer Rostock. Also new in the upper half of my Top 10 is Bishopp Briggs. For her “Dream” (#4) is her 2nd big hit on my chart. Maybe she is ready for #1 by next week? We will see, but everything is possible when my chart is in a slow mood. Last week at the podium this week dropping down two spots is Selena Gomez with “Perfect” (#5).

Next in line is MisterWives’ “Never give up on me” (#6). For them the dream of reaching #1 on my chart is over for this song, but there are others to come. Maybe “Chasing this” (#10) is an option after climbing up ten spots to reach a spot in my Top 10. Indeed there is another big climber in this week’s Top 10. Kate Voegele returns with her non-album single “Shoot this arrow” (#7) in its 5th week on chart. As this song is the youngest one in my Top 10 there is a real chance to see her smiling from #1 within the next few weeks. Caught between these newcomers are “Achterbahn” (#8, “Rollercoaster”) by Helene Fischer and “Columbo” (#9) by Wanda.

Kate Voegele reached this week’s Top 10 with her new single, but last week she debuted with two other songs from “Canyonlands”. One of these songs is this week’s greatest gainer. It is “Bad bad drug” (#39) which climbed up 19 spots. Her other song “Crooked road” (#42) did also very well, but only climbed up 17 spots. So let’s have a closer look the newbies. As last week the highest debuts are album cuts and no regular singles. This time they are from Paramore. They debut with “Rose-colored boy” (#68) and “Forgiveness” (#69). Both songs charted on the US Rock charts before. The highest official single debut is by US newcomer Charlotte Lawrence. Her single “Sleep talking” is in at #92. Other debuts are “Havana” (#93) by Camila Cabello feat. Young Thug, “Hearts gonna lie” (#94) by Arlissa & Jonas Blue and “Nobody” (#95) by Niia.
